Baseball was one of the launch sports on Wii Sports and it moved to Wii Sports Resort. This makes its omission both in the release of Nintendo Switch Sports and in its first expansion striking. Popular in Japan and North America, baseball is a good fit for what would easily be the longest title game. Unfortunately, no, Nintendo Switch Sports won't have baseball.
Nintendo Switch Sports has been well received by fans of the original Wii Sports and the later Wii Sports Resort. The newest game in the series captures much of the magic that made the Wii title so fresh and, at the same time, offers its own version of the format. While Switch Sports is a lot of fun, some fans were disappointed by the small number of sports included in the game. When we talk about sports such as baseball, golf and boxing, they include all the features that are required to be present in a virtual reality game, that is, in addition to everything, baseball, golf and boxing were already included in the previous installment (Wii Sports) of this series.
But sadly, as of now, none of these sports appear on Nintendo Switch Sports. However, you shouldn't lose hope, as Nintendo has announced that it will bring a free update to the game that will add the sport of golf to it. Speaking of baseball and boxing sports, we all hope that, just as Nintendo plans to bring golf in a future update, it will also bring baseball and boxing to Nintendo Switch Sports. With some improvements and a few diverse tracks, it would be a great addition to the Nintendo Switch Sports lineup.
This is a rather strange decision due to its general popularity in the original title, combined with the fact that Japan has a massive baseball culture, but it seems that Nintendo made the decision that this was not going to be one of the original sports that would feature in the game. Instead of having just one moving target, as in the original Archery on Expert, Nintendo could add moving obstacles or different types of arcs to choose from. Doing so would ensure that basketball is on par with the rest of the sports included or that they will come to Nintendo Switch Sports. If archery is added to Nintendo Switch Sports, a new controller extension similar to the Mario Kart wheels may be necessary.
A rumor recently emerged that basketball would be one of the sports added along with golf in the Nintendo Switch sports DLC. The aiming guide counteracted the difficulty settings, but Nintendo Switch Sports has the potential to offer players a greater challenge. There are a lot of sports missing in the latest version, but some deserve Nintendo Switch versions more than others. So, this was all about the sports of golf, baseball and boxing in the Nintendo Switch Sports game.
Nintendo Switch Sports is the next game for the Nintendo Switch video console where you can play exciting games. It seems like it's not quite over, and some additional sports (and an improved reward system) should go a long way in helping Switch Sports live up to its potential. There are six games included in Nintendo Switch Sports, but there are still many types of games that were a lot of fun to be had on Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Of course, Bowling, Chambara and Soccer from Nintendo Switch Sports also help break network sports, but there still needs to be more games that feel completely different from the others.
